This Monday – 1st Oct 2007, two of my colleagues JinJing, Jane and I were went to the Redbox Karaoke at Sunway Pyramid. We started to sing from 2.30pm to 6.00pm. When half way singing a waiter come and ask whether want to join their buffet dinner which just add extra RM10++. Then we agreed with it.
Around 7.30pm we asked for bill through phone, the waiter ask us whether have any dot red voucher or not? Why they asked for “Dot Red Voucher” not asking for any discount voucher? Continue to read the story then you will know why they asked like that. Because of noisy environment my colleague only can heard “Do you have any Dot Red or not?”. Because of we just apply the Dot Red so my colleague told them we just apply the Dot Red card only. They without corrected us any things then hang up the phone.
After 10 minutes (a quite long wait, bill need to take so long to process???), a waiter came in and we show him the voucher that we had and asked which one can be use. Very surprisingly, he told us the voucher need to present to them before they print out the bill. Then we asked him whether can revise the bill or not? Then the answer is cannot. Really very surprise that why the bill can’t be regenerate and just cancel the previous bill. Every shop, restaurant also can do that why only Red Box cannot? Really doubt about this, they purposely want to “eat” our money or the system is too outdated until can revise the bill?
Then we ask him whether can talk to his manager or not? He said ok no problem. After few minutes wait a female captain came in. We asked the same question to her. But she say really can’t revise the system. After argued with her for few minutes, we give up and pay the bill using cash without any discount. And they did not show any sincere to us that they are wrong.
Just curious with some point below,
What is the purpose for karaoke? Is making the people happy and enjoy but end up with unhappy and disappointed.
What is the purpose for voucher? Is give your loyal customer a discount when next visit. But seen like they doing some trick on this. Really need to beware when next time they give you voucher.
The voucher never state that need to present the voucher before calling a bill.
Why the bill can’t be revised? Seen like cheating our money. If I tell them you miss out one item, will they able to revise the bill?
I already drop a complain to Redbox through their web site. Let’s wait and see what they will react on this case.
As a conclusion, Redbox service really bad bad bad bad!!!!!
